Golf Course Update

After a very hot and wet July, we are entering August. We have been cleaning up for weeks the storm damage for 3 rain and high wind events in succession. We have Aradar Tree service trying to finish the last of the tree damage this week. The staff is busy with daily golf course preparation and planting seed for the fall. We are just keeping our fingers crossed that the worst of the heat is over but preparing for it to come back!

Sod, Sod, Sod

Starting yesterday, the construction crew began sodding the 18th green complex. They have installed bentgrass for the fairway extensions, low cut bluegrass for the intermediate cut and turf type tall fescue for the rough. They also installed some fine fescue on the bunker edges. We plan to finish sodding by tonight but might need to purchase a small quantity more next week to fix some construction wounds.
With the help of architects Brian and Blake, we are now seeing what the new bunkers look like. This one is on 10 green right side. They will not have the fescue "eyebrow" we have had in the past. For more updates, please follow me @BrendanJByrne01 on Twitter.
