More Rain!!!

Just when the course started to dry out, it rained again! This time we got over 1.7 inches of rain. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the first round of the Senior Member-Guest tournament yesterday. Today, the course was just dry enough to get the second round in! We are busy fixing some minor wash outs of sand in bunkers and trying to catch up on mowing the course. We had to skip rolling greens today because of the rain but plan to roll this weekend to give members a smoother and faster surface. Enjoy your weekend!

Sod, Sod, Sod

Starting yesterday, the construction crew began sodding the 18th green complex. They have installed bentgrass for the fairway extensions, low cut bluegrass for the intermediate cut and turf type tall fescue for the rough. They also installed some fine fescue on the bunker edges. We plan to finish sodding by tonight but might need to purchase a small quantity more next week to fix some construction wounds.
With the help of architects Brian and Blake, we are now seeing what the new bunkers look like. This one is on 10 green right side. They will not have the fescue "eyebrow" we have had in the past. For more updates, please follow me @BrendanJByrne01 on Twitter.
