Golf Course Storm Update

The course was damaged mainly by the high winds and wet snow on Friday. So far, I have counted 6 trees down and varying leaves of damage of other tree branches. We have about 7-10 eight foot sections of fence that will need to be replaced. Aradar tree service is coming today to start removing the felled trees. We will purchase and plant trees and arborvitaes if it is required in the near future.

The 8th pond is filled with water again and will need to be pumped out for at least a few days. The exact date as to when the dredging will restart again will be dictated by when the snow melts off and the ground dries up again.

The staff will concentrate on continuing the course clean up. Thanks for your patience.

With the help of architects Brian and Blake, we are now seeing what the new bunkers look like. This one is on 10 green right side. They will not have the fescue "eyebrow" we have had in the past. For more updates, please follow me @BrendanJByrne01 on Twitter.

Golf Course Update (Groundhog Day Version)

Another day without rain. That has been the story for the last 2 weeks. We have been working hard to keep the course with just enough water to keep the plants alive and still be firm and fast. You will also notice that we are no longer mowing the intermediate cut around fairways. With the planned addition of 3 to 4 acres of fairway, it was deemed unnecessary to keep it. If you have any questions regarding the renovation, please feel free to contact me at your convenience. Thank you and see you on the course!
