Really?!?!?

Well, today's weather was a real surprise! We expected to spend the day cleaning up smaller tree branches  and other debris from the high winds of earlier in the week but Mother Nature changed those plans. We measured about 0.75 inches of snow on the golf course this morning but are seeing most of it melting away now. The course will freeze over night and then start to thaw mid-day tomorrow. This will make the course very wet. I can't envision us having the use of cart at all tomorrow. Sunday will all depend if it gets windy and helps dry out the the course. I think will will need to get very lucky to have carts on Sunday. We will update the Golf Shop as soon as possible.

Restoration Update

Today marks the beginning of mobilization of equipment on # 8 for the upcoming restoration. Our golf course contractor is Total Turf and with golf course architect Brian Schneider from Renaissance Golf, they will be teaming up to open a new chapter in Llanerch's storied history. You can also follow the progress on Twitter @BrendanJByrne01.
With the help of architects Brian and Blake, we are now seeing what the new bunkers look like. This one is on 10 green right side. They will not have the fescue "eyebrow" we have had in the past. For more updates, please follow me @BrendanJByrne01 on Twitter.

Golf Course Update (Groundhog Day Version)

Another day without rain. That has been the story for the last 2 weeks. We have been working hard to keep the course with just enough water to keep the plants alive and still be firm and fast. You will also notice that we are no longer mowing the intermediate cut around fairways. With the planned addition of 3 to 4 acres of fairway, it was deemed unnecessary to keep it. If you have any questions regarding the renovation, please feel free to contact me at your convenience. Thank you and see you on the course!
